WE ARE ENVIROFUN!

Here at Envirofun, we are committed to a common goal: to introduce urban youth to the wonders of environmental science through fun, affordable activities. By providing access to hands on learning and engaging educational opportunities, we look to inspire the environmentalists of tomorrow!

Christine Maher

Hi!  My name is Christine Maher, and I am a sophomore at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts and founder of Envirofun.

As a student who loves science, and especially environmental science, I started this website with a simple goal: to excite younger students about the natural world and promote environmental justice across urban areas. More often than not, we learn about our natural world through our negative human impact on the environment and the importance of recycling and conserving. And while these are important messages, I wanted Envirofun to, first and foremost, ignite a passion and curiosity in kids about the natural world that would flow into a desire to preserve the Earth.

So with this purpose in mind, I founded Envirofun, with the aim of engaging and igniting every child’s scientific imagination. Our Envirofun activities are purposefully designed to be both fun and affordable.  We hope you enjoy!

Hello! My name is Lauren, and I am a sophomore at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I am very passionate about environmental science and justice. I love that I am able to work to promote awareness among urban youth about nature and environmental issues by writing, editing, and leading at Envirofun.

In my spare time, I also enjoy playing sports, writing and playing the flute. I also love keeping up with current events and am passionate about social justice—particularly gender equality.
